TeliaSonera is ready to launch 4G LTE in Visby, Sweden on June 30 . It would become the third city in the world with commercial 4G network. 

Leap Wireless has launched “Cricket No Contract 4G LTE” service in Philadelphia and Phoenix, and in Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Laredo, Corpus Christi and Brownsville-McAllen-Harlingen, Texas.  

Aio Wireless, a wholly-owned subsidiary of AT&T, has announced the launch of no-annual contract LTE service covering more than 200 million people. Aio has also added Naples and Ft. Myers to the number of markets it serves.

Taiwan's telecom operator Far EasTone has chosen Ericsson as a LTE supplier for LTE Radio and Core Network. Ericsson will provide hardware, software and support services, rolling out a multi-access RAN and core network for both 3G and 4G services, as well as assisting with network optimization.

Bahrain operator Batelco and Ericsson have inked a contract to enhance its mobile network.

3G and LTE small cells maker Ubiquisys has raised $19m in an oversubscribed round. The company will use the capital to generate further profitable growth and accelerate delivery of innovative tri-mode 3G/LTE/WiFi small cell hotspots. 

Nokia Siemens Networks will acquire the majority of Motorola’s wireless network infrastructure assets for US $1.2 billion in cash.
