April 11, 2010 - (AFP) In 2000, at the height of the tech bubble, telecom operators fell over themselves to snap up 3G or third generation mobile licenses in an auction in Germany.

Leadinspiration, Inc has been awarded with a series of contracts to design, deploy and support the first generation network (4G) in 3 nations in East Africa. 

Movistar Colombia has launched 4G LTE network in Santa Marta. Operator aims to provide LTE coverage to 58 major cities across the country by July 2014 and plans to increase the coverage to 313 municipalities by 2018. 

US carrier New Core Wireless, in partnership with select rural wireless operators, has selected Ericsson to supply and implement its 4G/LTE network.  Under the terms of the agreement, Ericsson will supply New Core Wireless its Evolved Packet Core LTE solution, along with its LTE radio network to New Core Wireless’ partners. 

China Mobile  aims to complete the next phase of its 4G TD-LTE network trials by June.

NTT DOCOMO & Taiwanese chip-maker MediaTek has entered into a LTE-PF,  a mobile-terminal platform based on LTE, licensing agreement with NTT DOCOMO.
