April 28, 2010 - NEC Corporation announced today its selection as the development and manufacturing vendor for NTT DOCOMO, INC's 1.5GHz remote radio equipment (RRE) for LTE base stations.

Rio Tinto, a international mining group, has selected Alcatel-Lucent to implement LTE technology to support its existing operations and future business needs. Alcatel-Lucent will enhance the speed and capacity of existing critical communications infrastructure for Rio Tinto in Western Australia, extending it further with LTE and fibre-optic technologies. 

TeliaSonera is ready to launch 4G LTE in Visby, Sweden on June 30 . It would become the third city in the world with commercial 4G network.
