April 9, 2010 - Chunghwa Telecom Laboratories and Nokia Siemens Networks  are conducting a live FDD-LTE trial in Taiwan.

T-Mobile, Nokia, and Qualcomm, have exceeded gigabit speeds using evolved, commercially-available 4G LTE technology. In tests at T-Mobile’s lab last week, download speeds of 1.175 Gbps were achieved on T-Mobile’s LTE network utilizing Nokia’s AirScale Base Station together with the Snapdragon X20 LTE modem. 

Sonera is rolling out Finland’s first 4G network in Turku.

Nokia Siemens Networks has been selected as one of the vendors to deploy and upgrade GSM and HSPA networks of T-Mobile Poland and Orange Poland. This upgrade will enable radio network sharing and prepare them for LTE.

Vietnam telecom regulator the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) has allowed FPT Telecom to test LTE in Hanoi and HCM City within one year, according to Vietnamnet.
