Telefonica has launched LTE pilot network in collaboration with Alcatel-Lucent.

Algerian telecom operator, Algerie Telecom has officially launched LTE service in the country. Operator aims to deploy eNodeB 2000 sites in late 2015. In the first phase of deployment, Algerie Telecom  has deployed eNodeB 200 sites spread over 48 provinces. 

UK's telecom operator, EE has made 4G LTE services available in nine new towns across the UK, bringing the total number of towns and cities covered by LTE to 27. EE switched on LTE today in Amersham, Bolton, Chelmsford, Hemel Hempstead, Southend-on-Sea, Stockport, Sunderland, Sutton Coldfield and Wolverhampton. 

Alcatel-Lucent and China Mobile today announced that they have successfully completed the first high-definition video call over a TD-LTE network at the Shanghai World Expo.

Mobile service provider Zain has launched nationwide commercial LTE 1800 MHz network in Kuwait in partnership with Huawei. On November 21, Zain launched LTE services under the banner of "Wiyana Connect LTE", a newly-built LTE network that realizes Circuit Switched Fallback (CSFB) as a LTE voice solution.

US Regional carrier C Spire Wireless has selected Alcatel-Lucent to build and deploy the initial phase of its 4G LTE network.

UK mobile operator O2 has opposed Ofcom's spectrum plan for a 4G LTE spectrum auction.
