Indian state owned operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has asked its broadband franchisee partners to set up a network that is capable of migrating to the LTE technology if required.

Broadband satellite solutions and services provider,  Hughes Network Systems has announced a successful 4G LTE transmissions over satellite backhaul at download speeds of over 10 Mbps and upload speeds of 786 Kbps, including video phone calls.

Chile's telecoms watchdog Subtel plans to launch auction for 4G LTE spectrum in the 2.6 GHz band inn December and expects to conclude it by mid-2011, reports bnamericas.

Finnish operator DNA has signed a deal with Ericsson to supply a new, nationwide LTE 800 MHz network and to improve existing 4G, 3G and 2G networks. The LTE network is expected to cover 80 percent of Finland's population by the end of 2014.

Lithuanian mobile operator has announced that it is providing LTE connectivity to 80 percent of the country's population now. Additionally, Omnitel began offering 4G + LTE-Advanced services in the five largest cities in the country in December. 

Ericsson has been selected by China Mobile (CMCC) to deploy LTE TDD in 15 provinces in China. This is the first phase of the CMCC's LTE TDD network deployment. 

ZTE has signed an agreement with Hi3G Sweden worth UD$74 million to deploy several UMTS/LTE TDD/LTE FDD base stations, as well as auxiliary microwave and data transmission equipment over the next three years.
