Hungary’s telecommunication service provider Magyar Telekom demonstrated LTE-Advanced technology, jointly with Ericsson, on its test network in Budapest. Operator tested today at Telekom’s headquarters in Budapest the bandwidth that can be implemented by the LTE-Advanced.

UK operator EE has launched LTE network in 13 new towns and cities across the country, bringing the total number of towns and cities with 4G LTE coverage to 50, just five months after the launch of the service.

Alcatel-Lucent has won a major contract to deploy a part of China Mobile’s new TD-LTE trial network rollout as it extends services to 10 cities. Following the new rollout as well as upgrades to three existing networks, China Mobile's trial TD-LTE network will cover a total of 13 cities.

Econet Wireless will launch LTE network during a joint hosting by Zimbabwe and Zambia of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) general assembly. The LTE service will be launched in the resort town of Victoria Falls, where the assembly will be held from August 24 to 29, 2013.

Local mobile operator GTA has launched 4G LTE network in Guam. This network upgrade overlays LTE wireless technology within the northern and central areas of the island.
