Huawei and NTT DOCOMO have announced the successful completion of  Integrated Access Backhaul (IAB) technology trial using the 39GHz millimeter wave (mmWave) band as part of on-going 5G tests.

Huawei and Vodafone have completed a 5G mmWave field test at Vodafone Emerald House in Newbury, UK.

TeliaSonera and Ericsson plan to develop 5G use-cases and service scenarios, including both communication and Internet of Things (IoT) services with the purpose to address new business opportunities. The partnership will bring 5G services to customers in 2018 by combining the TeliaSonera network with Ericsson technology.

Singtel and Ericsson plan to trial License Assisted Access (LAA), on Singtel's network starting March 2016. The trial is part of the partners' memorandum of understanding to study the future of 5G networks and its applications for both consumers and enterprises.
