UK’s mobile operator EE today switched on its LTE-Advanced network in central London. The EE 4G+ technology uses 2.6GHz spectrum, and is available in large parts of central London, including Shoreditch, Old Street, Southbank, Soho, Westminster and Kensington. 

China Mobile has selected Alcatel-Lucent’s lightRadio™  4G TD-LTE overlay - for the nationwide rollout of high-speed mobile broadband network. After the successful completion of China Mobile's 4G trial, this additional award to Alcatel-Lucent is 11% of CMCC’s strategic plan of Phase I 4G network.

South Korea based service provider SK Telecom is reportedly in talks with Harbinger Capital Partners to invest about a US$100 million  in LightSquared.

SFR, the French telecom operator, has launched LTE in Lille and revealed network roll out plan for the second half of 2013. Operator plans national coverage with LTE in 55 cities by the end of the year.

Orange Business Services has accelerated its LTE-M strategy to support the development of internet of things (IoT) solutions for the enterprise market. This follows the announcement by Orange in February 2017 that the Group would be prioritizing LTE-M across its footprint in Europe, and today it announces significant progress.

Chile's regulator Subtel  has awarded LTE spectrum to country's three largest mobile operators in auctions that raised more than US$12 million.
