Telecom New Zealand plans to begin trial of LTE network over APT700 MHz spectrum next month. The upcoming trial will be conducted in conjunction with Huawei Technologies over 11 cell sites spread across three Waikato locations including central Hamilton and the Mystery Creek Events Centre. 

German mobile spectrum auction bids reached EUR4.2 billion, as bidders continue to raise their offers for blocks in the valuable 800 megahertz band.

Ericsson is conducting LTE trials in Dublin and have achieved speeds up to 80MBits/sec, reports  Irish Times. Test was conducted in 2.3 GHz band.

Armenia’s VivaCell-MTS continues expanding its 4G network in Armenia that was deployed six years ago, in 2010. Upon the completion of the planned works, 4G services will become available to 52.5% of the population.

UK’s EE plans to offer customers access to 4G LTE in France and Spain. The deals are the first of a series of outbound roaming agreements that will allow EE customers to get 4G speeds outside of UK. EE's 4G coverage currently reaches over 70% of the UK population.

Optus is turning on its first commercial 4G LTE 700MHz network in Darwin and Perth CBDs. The launch follows the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) granting Optus an early access commercial licence for 4G 700MHz spectrum.
