During the last few months, Cassidian and Alcatel-Lucent have successfully conducted LTE trials in 4G LTE pilot networks in France, Spain, the Middle East and Mexico.

Huawei released a 3.5GHz CAT6 LTE-A device at the 3.5GHz LTE TDD Roundtable at MWC 2015. The device, supporting 2 carrier aggregation with total downlink speed of over 220Mbps, represents the end-to-end commercialization of LTE-A at the 3.5GHz band, according to Huawei.

Alcatel-Lucent has demonstrated Voice-over-IMS and RCS presence technology to the Board of FirstNet (the First Responder Network Authority), an important step in the adoption of industry standards-based Public Safety LTE in broadband voice and data communications for emergency services. 

Nokia Siemens Networks has announced introduction of a range of new features to its Liquid Radio Software Suites to help operators address constantly changing capacity demands. The update includes a new LTE Software Suite as well as new WCDMA and GSM Software Suite applications. 

Telefónica Chile (Movistar) has launched commercial LTE services in Chile. Operator is deploying the LTE network in 2.6GHz band. Samsung is the supplier of the LTE network solutions. 

Poland's mobile broadband operator Aero2 has awarded Huawei a frame contract to deploy commercial LTE TDD network for Aero2.

Tele2 and Telenor have launched joint commercial LTE network in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö and Karlskrona.
