Verizon Wireless has announced introduction of LTE network in 23 new markets and expansion in 41 existing markets. With this addition, operator's LTE network is now available in more than 410 markets across the United States, surpassing its previously announced goal of providing its mobile broadband service in 400 markets by the end of this year.  

Rural wireless carriers have so far reacted with a mixture of skepticism and cautious enthusiasm to Verizon Wireless' announcement about licensing them its 700 MHz LTE spectrum, according to Fierce

Verizon Wireless will launch LTE service in seven new markets and expand in 17 markets across the United States on March 15. With this, its 4G LTE network will cover 203 markets. Verizon Wireless plans to more than double the number of its 4G LTE markets, bringing the total markets to more than 400, by the end of the year.
