U.S. Operator Sprint has launched LTE services in four new cities Baltimore, Md., Gainesville, Ga., Manhattan/Junction City, Kan., and Sedalia, Mo.. In addition to Baltimore, Sprint is now offering improved 3G experience in Boston and Washington, D.C. as well. 

Canadia's Fido plans to launch LTE service this summer across major markets in Canada, including in the cities and surrounding areas of Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal and St. Johns with more cities to launch throughout 2012.

Globecomm has won LTE contracts with three U.S. Regional Carriers Chariton Valley, Evolve Broadband (DBA WorldCall Interconnect) and Indigo Wireless. These carriers will use Globecomm’s hosted LTE core, as well as the company’s Converged Packet Gateway (CPG) solution.

Japan's mobile operator NTT DOCOMO has unveiled its 2013 spring lineup of 12 models that will launch in sequence beginning on January 25. The lineup includes 11 smartphones and tablets, plus one mobile Wi-Fi router. The models feature upgraded versions of numerous popular functions introduced in the 2012 winter lineup.

Verizon Wireless has turned on the LTE in 19 additional metropolitan areas today, as well as expanding the 4G LTE network in San Francisco and Detroit.

Verizon Wireless has announced launch of large-scale 4G LTE network on Sunday, December 5.
